I'm back from my hiatus! Woo-hoo! I had a wonderful Christmas & New Years with the family in Texas and just didn't have the time to work on the blog. But I'm back and there's so many changes at Walt Disney World this year, so make sure to keep an eye out for new posts in the coming weeks. And now, here's today's Tip Tuesday:
Have you ever been in such a hurry getting out the front door that you leave something vital behind? In the past I have left incidentals behind but never something vital, such as... oh, I don't know... MY PURSE! Well, when Lisa and are went to Epcot for Dapper Day this fall I did just that. I couldn't believe it, I had left everything behind. Not only did I not have my MagicBand, but I was without my Drivers License, Annual Passholder card and all of my debit cards!
Well, just in case this happens to you there is a way to get into the park. Once you're through security, go to a ticket booth and explain your predicament. In order to gain entrance I had to verify my personal information that was on file. The Cast Member gave me another ticket to use and I had no problems entering the park.
Phew! What a relief. Lisa & I were worried that we would have to drive all the way back home to retrieve my things, but thankfully we were spared the ordeal. So, remember if you ever find that you have misplaced your tickets, MagicBand and/or ID that you don't have to go back to your hotel or home but can most likely verify your identity with the Cast Members. Accidents happen and Disney is great about understanding this and working with you so that you still have a wonderful day at Disney World!
AN IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE:
If you are planning on using Disney Gift Cards in the park then make sure you go to DisneyGiftCard.com. This is a free account that you can create where you can manage your gift cards. So, if you leave or lose a card then you can simply get another, add it to your account and then transfer the money to the new card! However, you do have to have an activated gift card, you cannot simply pick them up from a register and use it.
