One of the greatest expenses during a Disney vacation are all of the toys and accessories available around every corner. Children's eyes follow the brightly glowing lightsabers and the bubble wands shooting waves of bubbles into the air. How can you resist their pleading little eyes?
Here's how: Buy cheap toys beforehand. There are many cheaper options for buying Disney toys other than at a Disney Park or Resort. Wal-Mart & Target have stuffed animals and clothes a fraction of the price. However, if you want really cheap toys then check your nearest dollar store. Lisa and I prefer Dollar Tree but there are many other options out there such as: Family Dollar, 123 Dollar Stores USA, Dollar General, Dollar Store, etc.
During our family Disney trip last month, which included our 3 year-old niece, Lisa was prepared thanks to Dollar Tree. When our niece was bored or eyeing a toy Lisa would produce something from her bag of tricks. The "Frozen" wand was a great addition to her birthday gift of Elsa's dress and tiara. During the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks Show the glow sticks (which look like miniature lightsabers) were a hit. The glow sticks would also be great for Fantasmic or other firework shows.
Not only are the dollar stores great for toys & activities but you can also get some great snacks to bring into the parks as well.
