You are probably aware that Pandora: The World of AVATAR will be opening at Animal Kingdom on May 27th. With this new world opening soon many have already begun to select their FastPasses for their upcoming trips. After some research (and the anxiety-fueled wait for selecting my own FastPasses for these hot new attractions) I have some tips for those of you who will be visiting Pandora, and the two new attractions: "Avatar Flight of Passage" and "Na'vi River Journey".

On Flight of Passage you can climb atop a banshee for a thrilling flight across the mountain terrain of Avatar in an important rite of passage for the Na'vi people. For a family-friendly adventure head towards the Na'vi River Journey where you glide down a beautiful river on a reed boat at night where you can take in the amazing bioluminescent plants along he river's banks. At the end you will come face-to-face with the Na'vi Shaman of Songs who demonstrates her connection with Pandora in a spectacular display of the life-force that runs throughout this wondrous world!

So here's the biggest, most important piece of information regarding the FastPasses: You cannot get FPs for both rides!

That's right, Disney has implemented the tiered system for these attractions. This means that when making your FPs you will not be able to get both as part of your initial 3 FPs. If you have planned for 2 days at Animal Kingdom then you don't need to worry, you can pick one per day. However, if you are only planning on visiting Animal Kingdom for 1 day then you will need to choose which to stand in line for and which to get the FP for.

Here's where my researching will help you. After reading several blogs and Pandora Strategy posts it seems like the consensus is that the Flight of Passage is your best bet as the FastPass option. This is garnered from speculation about loading speed, ride capacity & simply 'thrill rides vs. family-friendly rides'. Please keep in mind that this is not a guarantee and that with this new land opening things at Animal Kingdom and Pandora are going to be crazy busy.

If you have any alternative strategies or suggestions then please leave a comment below!
