Planning on attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year at Magic Kingdom? Buy your tickets NOW! There are only 9 parties left this year (December 6,8,9,11,13,15,16,18,22) but the 2 parties the week of Christmas are SOLD OUT! Unfortunately, once the tickets are sold that's it, there's no 3rd party form whom you can get them.
However, you can still enjoy the Christmas decorations all over the park and the Jingle Cruise (normally known as Jungle Cruise). Plus, starting mid-December until the end of the year they replace the regular Wishes fireworks show with the Holiday Wishes Fireworks. The same goes for the afternoon parade, which is replaced with Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during regular park hours. These are 2 of the biggest attractions from the party, so you aren't missing out on all of the festivities. Just ensure that you go to Magic Kingdom on a day that there's no party.
Keep in mind that, about a week prior to Christmas, crowds increase drastically, increasing to a 9 or 10 crowd level.
Don't forget the other parks though! There's also Holidays Around the World at Epcot, which consists food, music, decorations & celebrations from around the globe. There are also fun presentations at different pavilions. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, the newest "Holiday Nighttime Spectacular", is now at Disney's Hollywood Studios nightly at 6:45p. I have yet to see this but it looks pretty spectacular to me.
A wonderful free alternative is to take the Monorail to the different Disney Resorts to view their fabulous holiday decorations. Check out the Gingerbread House decoration at the Grand Floridian! You can also take a free (if you can restrain yourselves from a shopping spree!) trip to Disney Springs. There's a lot of cool holiday attractions and decorations at the Springs; you can even meet the Coca-Cola Bear!
I hope you enjoy a Very Merry Disney Christmas!
