I am back from my lengthy hiatus!! Phew! Finally. It's been a busy couple of months but there's some really exciting things coming up.
It's spring at Disney and that means that Dapper Day is almost here!! Woo-hoo! Lisa and I participated last fall for the first time and we really enjoyed ourselves (with just the minor inconvenience of me forgetting my purse and all my things at home!). This year they're doing things a little differently. (I'll make sure to have my purse, for one.)
First of all, Dapper Day will be at 2 parks over the weekend: Magic Kingdom on Saturday, April 29th and Epcot on Sunday, April 30th. We have both opted for different outfits from last year with myself in a Briar Rose themed outfit and Lisa a Minnie Mouse inspired one. Once again I pulled together various items from my closet and a couple of Goodwill purchases for mine while Lisa made a few online purchases for her cute ensemble. You can check out my Dapper Day board on Pinterest for inspiration.
If you don't have the time or the inclination to put together your own outfit then never fear for there is a new shop at Disney Springs that will take care of you. "The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane" is now open in The Co-Op (near the Ghirardelli Shop). I had some fun looking at all of the adorable accessories and trying on some of the dresses the other day. Thanks to Lisa for letting me know about this gem.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that these dresses weren't just in boutique sizes but went up to 3XL. Many of these styles of dresses are flattering to the figure so I was very happy to see that they didn't neglect us bigger girls. I wouldn't wait too long to check it out though because one of the dresses was almost sold out already.
Some of the accessories are ones that I have seen before in various Disney shops but many of these items are exclusive to "The Dress Shop". They have a wonderful selection of really cute headbands as well as corsages that you will want to wear all spring long. The prices are as expected for a Disney shop at the Co-Op, especially with the quality of the dresses being what they are. For those of you who are Disney World Annual Passholders you will receive your 20% off discount here too!
If this is your first time participating in Dapper Day and are a little lost on what it is then check out my post from last year: Dapper Day @ Epcot
I also recommend you head over to the official Dapper Day website: DAPPERDAY.com for inspiration, information and much more.
